With acts that include well-known Portuguese acts such as Xutos & Pontapés, Expensive Soul and Quim Barreiros, the Góis Bike Club will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary at this year’s Rally

Organisers said that accommodation and the local camping site are already “at their limits”, with many people, including families, having set up at the site in the past few days in order to grab the best camping sites.

Enrolment for this year’s event started at 12noon on Thursday.

Temperatures in the region of 30 degrees are forecast for the duration of the event, with organisers saying it is the perfect weather for revellers to enjoy festivities by the riverside.

A total of 15,000 bikers are expected to enrol for this year’s meet, though along with visitors, this number should swell to 20,000 for a town which only has a population of 2,000.

Tickets cost 25 euros.
