Government says supermarkets are ‘back to normal’

The Secretary of State for Commerce, João Torres, said today that recent data shows things are “back to normal” at the country’s supermarkets.

This is in sharp contrast to the onset of the coronavirus outbreak in Portugal some 15 days ago when there was a rush for the shelves and panic shopping.

According to João Torres turnouts are back to normal following a peak in consumption two weeks ago.

Well, it maybe so for him, but the deliveries from Continente or Auchan online supermarkets are now being scheduled for the end of April. The truth is there's no magic here more than in any other country struggling with this crisis.
