In a statement, the PJ states that the detention took place in the Greater Lisbon region, as part of an investigation stemming from a complaint that resulted from international cooperation.

During the investigation, several computer materials used in the practice of the crimes were apprehended, confirming the possession and sharing of illegal pornographic material.

The detainee was subjected to first judicial interrogation, having been in preventive detention.

The operation was triggered by the National Unit to Combat Cybercrime and Technological Crime (UNC3T) of the PJ.

The issue of crimes related to pornography with minors on the Internet recently brought together in Lisbon officials from the PJ, Europol, Interpol and other entities committed to preventing and combating this criminal phenomenon.
