This news was released by accident and emergency service INEM, with Monday marking the European Day for the 112 emergency number. INEM explained that people can call the 112 number in a number of emergency situations such as thefts or robberies, fires, accidents and sudden illness. The 112 number was created in 1991, and became the exclusive emergency number in the EU back in 2008.
