The unit will take shape on a plot of land within a Natura 2000-classified zone in an area named Feitoria Fenícia.
In a statement Silves council said the implantation of this project represents a direct investment of €50 million and will create around 100 jobs.
An Environmental Impact Study and Detailed Planning will soon be carried out on the project.
