According to Minister of the Sea Ana Paula Vitorino, work on the new terminal is set to be completed by the end of June.

The government has already estimated that 345 liners will dock on the northern banks of the Tagus River in 2017, bringing with them 525,000 passengers.

The new infrastructure is said to allow the Lisbon port to boost passenger numbers from its current capacity of just over half a million to 800,000 passengers a year.
