Portugal temperatures set to soar

Mainland Portugal is expecting temperatures to rise between 10 and 13 degrees from Thursday to above the 30 degree mark.

According to meteorologist Ricardo Tavares, the temperatures will start to rise on Tuesday between 3 and 5 degrees across the country.

“On Wednesday temperatures will rise again and on Thursday temperatures will peak above 30 degrees. The Alentejo and the Vale of Tejo will see temperatures rising to40 degrees and Santarem is predicted to see highs of 40/41 degrees,” he said.

According to the IPMA specialist, the rise in temperatures will be between 10 and 12/13 degrees compared to today.

Ricardo Taveras points out that despite the predicted rises in temperature, “there is still some uncertainty as to whether or not they will rise so dramatically.”

“The tendency will be a rise in temperatures, but we cannot be sure about how much,” he said.

The article was nicely written and it is very informative. However the soar us misspelt in the title of the article.
