A total of 122,800 road collisions were recorded, causing the death of 478 people.
According to the National Road Safety Authority, the death toll is down by four on 2014.
The Authority’s provisional numbers also show there were 2,206 people seriously injured and just under 38,000 were slightly injured.
The districts with the highest increases in road deaths were Faro, Aveiro, Beja and Setúbal.
