Following the publication of ordinance no. 71/2020, referring to “Restrictions on access and on the allocation of spaces in commercial establishments and in restaurants or beverages”, the APCC, through its president, António Sampaio de Matos, ensures "That your associates are prepared to comply" with the new rules, including the maximum occupancy limit of four people for every 100 square meters of area intended for the public.

The APCC says that its associates - currently 94 commercial groups - "have been following the developments since the epidemiological outbreak with concern and understand the apprehension of the various storeowners and their collaborators, as well as the requests expressed for the closure of the centers".

The association informs that it has “a direct and permanent communication channel with the Directorate-General for Health (DGS)” and that its members have put in place all measures enacted by the authorities to face the spread of the new coronavirus, responsible for Covid-19 pandemic.
