The 2019 edition of the Silves Beer Fest guarantees five days of festivities between 17 and 21 July .

Visitors can sample more than 50 different beers, including various handmade products made from local produce such as orange or carob. The refreshing drink will also be available in a gluten-free version.

The event maintains the line of growth registered in recent years, with new brands present, a wide gastronomic offer and a musical line up that covers diversified tastes – from rock to cante alentejano.

The doors will open daily at 6pm and the event will close at 2am, except for the last day, when it will close at 1am. Entrance is free and the commemorative mug for the event, which will allow visitors to taste the beers available, costs €2.50.

The event, the oldest in the Algarve and one of the oldest in the country, first began in 1978 and after a period of interruption, was resumed in 2017, organised by the Silves Futebol Clube, which celebrated on 4 April 2019 its centenary. To liven up the nights, the Silves Beer Fest presents, on two stages, a line up that includes several bands. 17 July: South Kick Band and 5Ex Band, 18 July: Fole’Percussion, Dove’s Brace, 19 July: Jean Paul Rena and Beto Kalulu & Afro-Latina Band, 20 July: Beatrice Band and Sesame Street Band, 21 July: Fred Paradiso Group and Sesame Street Band.
