In response to questions from Lusa News Agency, the airline said it had cancelled 75 flights in January and 117 flights in February.

The carrier registered 365 cancellations in March, according to OAG, which aggregates data sent by airlines and authorities, and "has only begun to receive [information] from TAP in recent months."

OAG statistics showed that in March 1.6% of TAP flights were cancelled and 57.6% of arrivals were not delayed for more than 15 minutes. In March TAP offered a total of 10,875 flights. In the punctuality ranking, the carrier was 151st out of 156 airline.

The most punctual airline in March was T'way Air (South Korea) and the least punctual was Tassili Airlines (Algeria).

In March 2017, 75.1% of TAP's arrivals had no delays and it came 85th in the punctuality ranking out of 129 carriers, with no record of the number of flights cancelled.

According to the reports published by the statistics company, in January TAP cancelled 0.3% of its flights and had 75.1% of arrivals without delays, which translated into a 89th place for punctuality in a ranking of 155 airlines.The total number of flights offered was 10,575.

In February 2018, TAP recorded 0.6% cancellations, 75.7% of arrivals without delays, and the company was 83rd out of 155 carriers in the punctuality ranking.In the second month of the year there were 9,376 flights.

The latest statistical report published by OAG showed that SATA Air Açores ranked 149th (59% of arrivals without delays and 3.6% of cancellations) in the punctuality ranking for March 2018. The airline offered a total of 1,041 flights that month.

Azores Airlines (formerly SATA International) in March offered 493 flights and ranked 154th in terms of punctuality (41.2% without delays and 3.2% cancellations).
