Very serious speeding offences increased from 2654 in 2018 to 5248 in 2019. Such offences are when drivers exceed speed limits by more than 40kms/h. According to Lisbon’s Municipal Police the top-three speeding spots are on the Ceuta, Marechal Gomes da Costa and Campo Grande avenues.
