Located in the heart of Alcantarilha, the team provide primary and specialist pet care dedicated especially to small animals and aim to constantly achieve their goal of informing people about the very best ways to care for animals, keep them healthy and to provide the best treatments to help both pets and carers.
Drª Kirsten Peters originally opened her clinic in 1995, at the roundabout in Guia and is now located in the easy to find Alcantarilha, just off the EN125 near to the roundabout by the Aldi supermarket, where they are able to offer a better equipped clinic with excellent facilities and free parking.
The team at the clinic consists of three vets and four nurses and in the new location they are able to offer better hospitalisation of ill animals, surgery with volatile monitored anaesthetics, bathing and grooming facilities, separated kennelling for cats and dogs and climate-controlled areas to allow for the comfort of all animals.
The hospital now separates the dogs from the cats; avoiding any unnecessary stress to pets while they undergo their treatment while those with contagious diseases are kept in a specialist quarantine area.
Pets visit the clinic from across the Algarve with the team catering for international clients with Portuguese, English, German, Dutch, Flemish, Spanish and French being spoken to ensure clear communication at all times.
As well as the hospital, the clinic also has a well-stocked pet shop selling items for both cats and dogs and specialist products designed to help pets with behavioural problems.
