Most Pingo Doce supermarkets will open at 6.30am on the weekend, due to curfew restrictions under the State of Emergency, to avoid a concentration of people during the morning.

This comes after Prime Minister, António Costa, announced that circulation will be limited on the next two weekends between 1pm on Saturday and 5am on Sunday and 1pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday in the 121 counties most at risk of contagion. The Government also decreed a curfew between 11pm and 5am on weekdays, until November 23, in the 121 municipalities most affected by the pandemic. The measures affect 7.1 million people, corresponding to 70% of the population of Portugal.

Surely counterproductive to force everyone to go out at the same time.

Why do people keep accepting this all? In March it was 1 person to entrer a supermarket. Now we have traffic lights or security at the entrance of shops. If it's full, you wait. Can't get too busy, can it? More suffering for shop keepers and keeping families apart on weekends. Every time a bit more pain.... still we keep going? Until it's too late and you're trapped! Faulty tests and no symptoms. Wake up folks.
