Supporting local restaurant industry

The current state of emergency in Portugal and months of restrictions due to Covid-19 have hit many industries hard, especially the restaurant industry, and we at The Portugal News want to show our support with promoting restaurants across the country for free.

There are still many restaurants that are open across Portugal and while restrictions do still apply to maintain health and safety standards, enjoying a meal or a take away continues to be an option for diners.

If you have a restaurant and would like to tell readers about your opening times and contact details then we are now offering this service for FREE for the next three months. Simply email your restaurant name, opening hours, location and contact details to and your listing will be included in the printed and online edition of The Portugal News.

While a listing is a great start to promoting your restaurant, we are also offering a free food review (subject to availability) to all the restaurants that list with the newspaper, thus furthering the reach of your restaurant and offering everyone the opportunity to learn more about all you have to offer visitors over the winter months.

The Portugal News also has a number of very reasonable advertising packages from as little as €20 per week, designed to support small businesses during these challenging times. To find out more about our promotions, please email;

As an integral part of the community, The Portugal News is proud to support local businesses.
