Road deaths in Portugal dropped steadily over 20 years

The number of road deaths in Portugal has dropped from an average of 2000 per year to an average of 474 per year over two decades

According to the Global Road Safety report, Portugal registered 6880 road deaths over the past decade. Last year Portugal registered 16,341 road accidents, which caused 107 fatalities. PSP police warned one of the biggest causes of road accidents is speeding.
