Third of those hospitalised between 40 and 69

One third of people admitted into hospitals due to covid-19 are between 40 and 69 years old, four percent are under 40 years old and 63 percent are patients over 70 years old, revealed the Minister of Health.

“We refer these data so that everyone can clearly see that is not only people who contract the disease at a more advanced age who need hospitalisation”, said Marta Temido at the daily press conference to update the covid-19 pandemic situation.

Of the total number of hospitalised patients, 33 percent are between 40 and 69 years old, 66 percent are over 70 years old and 4 percent are under 40 years old.

The minister also added that, of the 5,891 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, more than a thousand are people aged between 40 and 49 years old, and another 425 are over 80 years old.

103%? It's always helpful when getting government reasoning to send younger people into depression and suicide to know they can do basic arithmetic.
