Cristiano Ronaldo nominated for best of season and century

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is among the nominees for player of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards and also is also on the list, alongside Luís Figo, of nominees for Player of the 21st century, the promoters announced today.

Ronaldo joins the list of candidates for best of season with Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Sadio Mané (Liverpool), Serge Gnabry (Bayern Munich), Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Marquinhos (Paris Saint -Germain) and Karim Benzema (Real Madrid).
