British registered in Portugal skyrocket since Brexit referendum

The number of Britons registered in Portugal has skyrocketed by 111% since the Brexit referendum, according to reports.

Even this year, despite the pandemic, Britons continue to move to Portugal. The UK Government has increased its notices to British citizens residing in Portugal to get their paperwork in order by December 31. According to Diário de Notícias, there are close to 50 thousand foreigners from the UK currently residing in Portugal, and the onset of Brexit is driving that number higher.
