The Algarve is under an orange warning by the Portuguese Met Office until 6pm today, due to the forecast of south-east waves measuring up to 3.5 meters along the south coast, «especially in the west». The IPMA warning is also due to the existence of "conditions for the occurrence of a cross sea". It will be downgraded to yellow level at 6pm and remains in place until 12 noon tomorrow.
