Pandemic drove 42% of Portuguese consumers to digital channels

The covid-19 pandemic led 42% of national consumers to use digital channels for purchases.

Of those, 32% said it was due to convenience compared to physical channels, according to a survey by consultants McKinsey.

This study surveyed more than 1,200 Portuguese consumers between the ages of 18 and 85, and found that “all-digital sales channels are more widely used in all industries analysed, with the exception of grocery items”.
