According to a report by Sky News, it is understood that no new counties will be placed on the green list and Portugal will be moved down into the amber list.
Anyone entering the UK from amber list countries will have to take two post-arrival tests on day two and day eight after arriving and self-isolate at home for 10 days, although it is possible to reduce this time if a person takes an additional negative test on day five.
An official announcement from the UK is still to be made regarding the status of Portugal and travel restrictions.

Let me get this straight. Portugal graciously hosted an English final football match, and as a "thank you" the country is being considered a threat again.
New balls, please! This gong show has gone far too long.

Masks, tests, vaccines, lockdown, confinement, fines, breaking livelihoods, squashing spirits. Let some light in and smash the door right in your face as you think it's possible to get somewhere. I agree, absurdity is an understatement.
