Entering Spain without test or vaccination could cost €3,000 fine

Now anyone who enters Spain through a land border without a negative test, a vaccine or without proof that they have recovered from covid-19 risks a fine of up to three thousand euros.

Legislation passed over the weekend and already in force requires tourists to have a supporting document translated into Spanish, French, English or German.

Portuguese tourists who enter neighbouring Spain by car or train, have to meet the same conditions required for those travelling by plane or boat.
