Algarve authorities are “concerned” about school leaving parties as the school year is drawing to a close.

Civil protection and council authorities demand parents and youngsters act responsibly, stressing everyone "must protect themselves" from Covid-19.

This was one of the topics addressed at a press conference to assess the pandemic last Friday. António Pina, president of AMAL – Algarve Inter-municipal Community Association, said he was aware that the usual end-of-year get-togethers are being organised, and asked “parents to be aware”, and that “young people don't leave home without authorisation".
