This possibility became accessible late this afternoon, five days after the self-scheduling vaccination portal allows the registration of people aged 37 or more.

This self-scheduling process allows citizens to select the place and date on which they wish to be vaccinated, and then receive an SMS message confirming the day, time and vaccination centre. The confirmation of the appointment implies that a reply is sent to the SMS.

Following phase 2 of the vaccination plan and the greater availability of vaccines in Portugal, the portal for self-scheduling went live on 23 April, and is now open to people aged 33 and over, after having been made available to users aged 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 43, 37 and, last Wednesday, 35.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, more than 7.9 million vaccines were administered by Sunday, around five million of which were first doses and another 2.9 million that allowed for the complete vaccination.
