Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will be launching their
second property in Portugal with the Anantara Royal Vila Viçosa opening in the
Alentejo in 2024.

According to travelagentcentral.com the move is part of the
company’s strategic expansion across Europe.
The company are transforming a former 15th century monastery into the five star hotel, aiming to maintain the history of the
building while promoting a luxury living experience.
The property will be located in the town of Vila Viçosa and
will feature 50 guestrooms, 10 suites, 16 residences, an outdoor and indoor
swimming pool and various dining options.
