“The meeting between the Directorate General for Employment and Labour Relations [DGERT], Sintac and ANA/VINCI will take place this Tuesday, August 9, at 10:30 am, at the DGERT premises”, said the union.

“The call for DGERT is aimed at negotiating an agreement on the minimum services to be provided during the 19th and 21st of August”, they said, “with a view to negotiating an agreement on the minimum services and on the means necessary to ensure them from 00:00 on the 19th of August until 24:00 on the 21st of August”.

“Sintac hopes that, in addition to the definition of the minimum services, this will make it possible to reach an understanding with the employer – ANA/VINCI – that takes into account the proposals by this union”.

The Sintac and SQAC (Commercial Aviation Staff Union) unions announced, on August 1st, a strike notice for the 10 national airports under concession by Vinci Aeroportos between August 19th and 21st.

"Given the inflexibility of the proposals presented by ANA/VINCI over the last year and the attempt to reduce rights enshrined in the Company Agreement, attacking the rights that workers have achieved over decades, Sintac and SQAC consider it urgent to end this blind policy and put an end to all this instability".

The strike notice was issued after consultation with the workers and, according to the document, will cover "all workers at all ANA airports in the Vinci Aeroportos group", coming into force at 00:00 on 19 August and extending until the end of the 21st of August.
