In an assessment of the campaign, which took place between 16 and 23 August and involved the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), the GNR and the PSP, the authorities reveal that around 3.3 million vehicles were monitored by radar.

There were 2,849 accidents with victims, which resulted in 16 deaths, 70 serious injuries and 939 minor injuries.

Compared to the same period in 2021, there were eight more accidents, two fewer fatalities, seven more serious injuries and 13 fewer minor injuries.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the risks of speeding, one of the main causes of road accidents.
