These notices join the notices previously issued by the union led by André Pestana, which had strikes planned until February 24: until this Wednesday covering teachers and non-teaching staff and from February 16 to 24 February joining only non-teaching staff.

At the same time, there are other strikes taking place. Fenprof, the largest union structure in the Education sector, has delivered strike notices until Friday, which bring together kindergarten teachers and primary and secondary school teachers. As for the Union Association of Licensed Teachers (ASPL), like STOP, notices have been delivered by March 10th.

These notices come at a time when a decision by the Arbitration College determined that, from the 1st of February until the 4th of February, schools had to ensure minimum services following the strike for an indefinite period decreed by the STOP.
