In a statement, the union states that "easyJet continues to consider the crew of the Portuguese bases as minor workers, perpetuating precariousness and discrimination against colleagues from other countries".

The climate of tension and the long stalemate in resolving the various labour disputes are the justifications for the decision. “We are aware once again of what this prior notice represents and we do not do it lightly”, they say in the note, before adding that “SNPVAC remains available to negotiate with the company seriously and in order to meet to the pretensions of our Associates”.

The letter was sent to the company, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ministry of Economy and Sea and DGERT.
