The opinions of the fans predicted a more pleasant result for Portugal but, with 59 points, the singer of "Ai Coração" failed to reach the first half of the table, in the most recent edition of the Eurovision festival. This Saturday ended with Mimicat finishing in 23rd place in the event that took place in Liverpool, in the United Kingdom.

However, Marisa Isabel Lopes Mena - the singer who charmed the audience in a distinctive red outfit - made a point of addressing a few words to her supporters on social media.

"I cried for 15 minutes after the performance, because it was in a total rush of adrenaline", reveals the artist, visibly excited. "It was the opportunity of my career. I showed my music to millions of people."

About her position in the final, she assures that the places, to her, "are of little interest", and that she met her initial objective: to reach the last stage of the contest. "We passed to the final and then I thought, 'let's show what we do well and have fun,'" she reports.

With 623 points, Sweden took home the famous glass microphone with the song "Tattoo" performed by Loreen, also a winner in 2012. Finland finished in 2nd place, followed by Israel, Italy and Norway.
