DJ Ride's management states that this “is the first world title he has won solo, in addition to the two other titles he won in the Show category [of the same championship] together with Stereossauro, with the duo Beatbombers, in 2011 and 2016”.

Party Rocking is a new category “that has a greater focus on the area of 'clubbing' with 'scratch/turntablism' techniques and in which one of the objectives is the mix of various musical styles, from electronic to hip-hop, rock and drum & bass”.

The winner of the Scratch category will be announced during the final of the 2023 DJ World Championship, scheduled for December 2nd in Krakow, Poland, and in which the Show and Technique category will be played live.

DJ Ride is the artistic name of DJ, producer and sound engineer Oliveiros Tomás Oliveira, from Caldas da Rainha, one of the most praised and respected names on the Portuguese hip-hop scene.
