For today, December 18th, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) predicts clear skies for the majority of the continental territory. Only in the North will the sky be cloudier.
Temperatures will drop to -5ºC in Bragança, with maximum temperatures reaching 7ºC, in Vila Real they will fluctuate between -2ºC and 4ºC, in Guarda between -2 and 10ºC and in Viseu between -2 and at 11ºC. In Porto, thermometers will rise to a maximum of 14ºC and drop to a minimum of 2ºC and in Lisbon, they will range between a maximum of 14ºC and a minimum of 5ºC. The Algarve will be the hottest region with a maximum of 17ºC and a minimum of 7ºC.
For Madeira, the IPMA predicts temperatures between a maximum of 23ºC and a minimum of 16ºC and partially cloudy skies, while for the Azores it predicts showers for all the islands with thermometers reaching a maximum of 16ºC and a minimum of 11ºC.
An identical scenario is expected for tomorrow, and in some districts, temperatures will drop even further, as is the case in Viseu, where thermometers will drop to -4ºC, in Guarda, where they will drop to -3ºC, in Porto, where they should drop to 1ºC, in Castelo Branco with -1ºC, in Alentejo in general, as well as in the Algarve, where thermometers drop to 16ºC maximum and 6º minimum.
