There were three groups and special thanks to Huw Chivers, Phil Anderson, Stefan, and Sandra Greger for assisting as group leaders and sweepers.

On leaving Boliqueime we headed out on small roads to Parragil before turning onto the N270 and taking the Loulé bypass towards Querença, Montes Novos, Barranco do Velha, and then Cachopo for a coffee stop.

After having refreshments and socialising at Cachopo we set off heading North East into the hills via Fortim and Nora where we were able to experience fantastic views of the countryside. Our photo opportunity was on the hilltop outside Nora where you could see all the way down to Monte Gordo and Tavira and the sea as we had a beautiful clear day with blue skies.

After the photo stop, we dropped down into Cabanas to the restaurant Charrete where we enjoyed a delicious lunch of Beef Curry or Dourada which was enjoyed by all.

As always we had a wide selection of bikes which is always interesting including the terrific bike and sidecar combination of Johannes and Heidi.

The generosity of ASB members is very much appreciated by giving a donation every ride towards aiding the Gaivota Children's Home and ASB organiser David Shirley will be visiting them to deliver Easter Eggs for the residents.
