Inspired by the Celtic tradition of Litha, this time of year, when the Sun remains in the sky for the longest time, will be marked with tribal fire dance performances and the vibrant performance of the Celtic music band Deira Band.
Since its creation, this initiative by the Lagoa City Council has grown exponentially, going from being simply the first major festival of the Algarve summer to becoming one of the largest open-air celebrations in the country, bringing together, in a single night, more than 30,000 visitors.
As usual, the event takes place in the heart of Praia do Carvoeiro, with several entertainment venues spread across different areas of the village. The program starts on June 21 at 8:30 pm and goes on until 3 am, with special emphasis on the large dance floor set up in the square and sand of Praia do Carvoeiro, where some of the greatest hits of dance music will be heard, in a unique atmosphere of celebration and sharing.
Black and white are the mandatory dress code, also reflected in the multiple artistic expressions that will liven up the night – from music to dance, including magic, cinema and street entertainment.
The Municipality will once again provide the regular free bus line, which will ensure continuous connection between Praia do Carvoeiro and the parking lots located at Parque Municipal de Feiras e Exposições de Lagoa (Fatacil venue), Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi and Gramital (in front of Aldi), between 6 pm and 4 am.
