A simple but important plan for pets when the owner has either become ill or died and the pets’ future is possible neglect or abandonment. ARA’s shelter ‘Cabanita’ Nr Loulé is a beautiful modern purpose-built animal rescue facility.

Vet care, clean kennels and catteries. Love, attention. “Sounds too good to be true?” Anita the ‘Legacy’ Ambassador sees the light in people’s eyes when they visit ‘Cabanita’. “It is simply amazing.”

For that reason Carlos Filipe, author, photographer and animal rights campaigner, was asked by ARA to make a series of videos. “Owners are not always able to visit ‘Cabanita’.” Carlos smiles. “So we bring ‘Cabanita’ to you!” He and the ‘Legacy’ team have worked closely together ensuring the quality and feel of the rescued animals’ shelter is felt on a personal level.

“When we saw this haven for the first time, we knew it was the only answer for our pets if anything happened to us.” Both Anita and Jenny President of APAA signed up to ‘Pet Plan’ almost immediately. “We were the first, so we had to be the trial and error - dotting I’s and crossing t’s.”

Simply put the ‘Legacy Pet Plan’ is tailored to suit your individual needs and your pets of course. “We say we love our pets and I am sure we do, but when the final decision comes, we can be the only ones who can make it for them. Whilst we are still well enough and alive.” Anita takes her tools, fliers, brochures, plans and videos on the road when needed, to make a personal visit bringing ‘Cabanita’ to you.

The videos are enchanting, seen from your pet(s) perspective. Enabling owners to see immediately the wonderful place their pets will be sheltered and loved until they are happily re-homed. Check the video link and see for yourselves.
