"Ikea Portugal, an integral part of the Ingka Group, closed its 2025 fiscal year (September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025) with total sales of €611.4 million, a 1.5% increase compared to the previous fiscal year (€602.7 million)," the group announced in a statement reported by ECO.
The retailer highlights the omnichannel strategy it has been developing and its contribution to its results, "with online sales representing more than 21% of total sales." The Swedish chain also strengthened its physical customer contact points, opening three new Planning Studios in Aveiro, Beja, and Guimarães, bringing the total to 16 nationwide.
The chain also strengthened its staff, closing the period with an 8% increase, bringing its total to 3,224 employees of 40 nationalities.
"Of the company's total employees, 96% have permanent contracts, with 52% of leadership positions held by women. 2.5% of the team is made up of people with disabilities, a figure higher than currently required by law," the company highlights.
