The districts of Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, and Braga will be under a yellow weather warning between 9 p.m. today and 6 a.m. Thursday due to the forecast of southwesterly winds turning to northwesterly winds, with gusts of up to 95 kilometres per hour (km/h) in the highlands.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning between 9 p.m. today and 6 a.m. Thursday for the districts of Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, and Braga, but due to persistent rain, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms.
The IPMA forecasts rainy periods for today on the mainland, especially in the North and Center, with heavier rainfall in Minho and the Douro Litoral region later in the day. Strong winds in the highlands and fog or mist in some areas will also occur.
Minimum temperatures will range between 13 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 19 degrees Celsius (in Lisbon, Leiria, and Santarém), and maximum temperatures will range between 19 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Viseu) and 27 degrees Celsius (in Évora).
