The islands of Flores and Corvo, which make up the western group of the archipelago, were already under a yellow warning today due to wind, but will also be under one for rain and rough seas, according to a statement from IPMA.

On these two islands, the yellow warning for wind (southwest direction, turning northwest) is valid between 11:00 local time (one hour later in Lisbon) and 22:00 today, for "precipitation sometimes heavy, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms", from 14:00 to 17:00, and for rough seas (waves from northwest, turning north), between 11:00 on Tuesday and 11:00 on Wednesday.

For the Central group (islands of Faial, Pico, São Jorge, Graciosa and Terceira), the yellow warning, for "sometimes heavy precipitation, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms", will be in effect from 5 PM to 11 PM today.

For the same reason, the islands of São Miguel and Santa Maria, in the Eastern group of the Azores, will be under a yellow warning from 9 PM today to 7 AM on Tuesday.
