São Sebastião is an interchange station linking the Blue and Red Lines of the Lisbon Metro, located on Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar in the São Sebastião da Pedreira neighbourhood. The Blue Line station is one of the eleven original stations of the Lisbon Metro network, inaugurated on 29 December 1959.
The original Blue Line station was designed by architect Francisco Keil do Amaral. It was later expanded on 18 April 1997, following a project by Dinis Gomes.
On 29 August 2009, the Red Line platforms were added, designed by Tiago Henriques, who also oversaw the refurbishment of the Blue Line station during the same period.
