Since the beginning of the pandemic the Algarve has accumulated 887 positive cases, according to DGS data.
Nationally the number of new cases dropped from Saturday to Sunday, and there were also 201 more people recovered from the disease in 24 hours, which lead the number of active cases across the country to drop again.
A total of 36,984 people have now recovered from the virus.
Surely the uk government must give the air bridge to Portugal now. The cases and deaths have gone down loads we go to algarve every year and are planning to come over 23rd August so am keeping everything crossed

Hoping the UK government changes its mind soon. Can't see the case for no airbridge. Had one holiday cancelled in June but already booked for September. Can't wait.

Totally agree no logic to our government’s decision. I am going regardless on the 15th August. Insurance is available Battleforce very competitive on price.

It's quite ridiculous, the Algarve region is and has been totally under control, businesses are bleeding to death down there, I'm desperate to go and spend a holiday and money dining out. Missed one break in July and another due 22nd August, be surprised if the air bridge is in place by then ??
