ASAE detains 17 individuals for ticket touting

The Food and Economic Security Authority, through the National Criminal Investigation and Information Unit, launched an inspection operation within the scope of the First League Game that took place on 8 February, at Estádio do Dragão, in Porto between FC Porto - SL Benfica.

As a result of the action that took place in the cities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Gondomar, Vila do Conde and Matosinhos, 17 criminal proceedings were initiated for touting and irregular sale of tickets to reach profit values ??of 350 percent above face value, 37 tickets were seized, which were for sale over the Internet, 7 of which were fake, 1 membership card and 1 invitation.

17 individuals were also detained, in flagrante delicto, having been constituted as defendants, adding mentioning the identification of a child under 16, who was identified under the Educational Guardian Law.

ASAE warns consumers that the sale of tickets above their official value constitutes a Crime of Irregular Sale of Tickets, punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment.
