Costa warns of risk of "even more restrictive measures"

Portugal’s Prime Minister, António Costa, has today reiterated today that while he does not like the mandatory preventive measures against the covid-19 virus, the alternative could be the adoption, within a few weeks or months, of even more restrictive measure.

Costa was speaking to the press at the end of a European Council in Brussels, on the day that Portugal recorded the highest daily rate of new cases of infection since the beginning of the 19-covid pandemic.

Here's a radical thought then António Costa, if you don't like the measures then don't do them, they're inhumane - they're scientifically proven not to work anyway, even though you seem to think you've pulled the wool over our eyes.....we know, shock here......we can read! How the human race has managed to survive for millions of years without you politicians is beyond me.

By saying that but still implementing these measures you 'don't like' shows us that you clearly have no regard for our welfare.

Money, money, money - the route of all evil - what a sad state of affairs that in this day and age money is valued higher than peoples lives.

A simple smile can make all the difference in someone's day but we can't even see that wearing a muzzle.

Come on Magnus - help me out here.

Outrageous . Less people die of this virus than many other deaths. Also the testing is not reliable and we also know that someone who dies of a heart attack but at some point in the past 8 months had Covid. It is quite a fabrication .

2 months ago he said the country would accept another lockdown...
He will be know as the man who destroyed the Portuguese economy and lives of many, many people, just to save 0.02% of the population (above 80 mostly, with other underlying health conditions, people that would have died of any other flu anyway).

ENOUGH with your deception , ENOUGH with your fear mongering... How can you look at yourselves in the mirror when businesses are collapsing left, right and centre. How can you look at yourselves in the mirror collapsing the greater economy the way you are putting families under severe financial pressures for what in essence is a "flu." For those who get the "flu' engage in the following : 1. Hydroxychloroquine , 2. Zinc, 3. Vitamin D3 4. Plenty of rest and hydration.
There was NEVER the need to close down economies the way they have. Ask yourselves, what is the deeper agenda to all that is unfolding ?

Let us follow the restricitons we have.
So we do not need more.

Today, noone seems to care about distance in shops, on the streets, at restaurants, cafés and bars. On with the mask. And then do not care is the mentality.

Why is it that all the non positive and rebellious comments come from GB's people, just like they are doing in UK and look where they are!! You only have to look at their numbers to see!! No wonder us English get a bad name. If people don't like the way Portugal works, they should go back!! I think Portugal are doing a great job!! Just look at the numbers here against the UK.
