Lagoa will be hosting its sixth ‘Culture Market... By the Candlelights’. During the four nights, over sixty craftsmen from various cultures and religions will be displaying their traditions, gastronomy and arts.

The event is unique in Portugal, and this year will focus on the theme of ‘Mediterranean Cultures’. Musicians from countries such as Greece, Italy, and Croatia will be serenading the visitors, while an exhibition on ‘Musical Instruments with History’ can be attended at the exhibition hall of the São José Convent.

The gastronomic riches of the Mediterranean shall also be central to the event, alongside themed streets representing the Arab, Orient, and African influences. To top it all off, forty candlelit symbols representing the participating cultural diversity will be displayed daily, in what will certainly be a visual spectacle.

The festivities will take place between 7pm and 12.30am on the days between 4 and 7 July.
