The first court case was ordered a mistrial after it was discovered one of the presiding judges had been suspended.

A second trial was then called off after judges used facts proven in the first case, with the defendant having being found not guilty.

The accused was then found guilty in the third trial and sentenced to two years in jail, but was absolved after it was determined he had not been notified of the trial, which took place in his absence.
