In a statement, Portway informs that following the positive case of Covid-19 in an employee who works at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, “all the people who were in contact with the employee” were tracked and that the health authorities gave “indication of quarantine mandatory for all screened persons", so there will have to be an adjustment of airport operations due to lack of workers.

"The lack of the people concerned will require a temporary adjustment of operations in Porto, with consequences that are not yet possible to define precisely", says Portway.

"With the aim of readjusting or rescheduling operations, Portway has already informed its customer airlines that the adjustments in question will not allow all flights to be carried out according to the existing schedule", reads the statement released by the 'handling' (aircraft support services, such as passengers, luggage).

The company asks affected passengers to inquire with the respective airlines about the alternatives, but not to go to the airport to obtain this information, using the telephone or other alternative channels.
