PSP seizes bag with more than 32 kilos of cocaine at Lisbon airport

The PSP seized a suitcase containing more than 32 kilos of cocaine worth an estimated 1.5 million Euros at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport on 24 September, the security force announced on 25 September.

In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP said that the seizure was made on Thursday, 24 September, at 4pm, when the police patrolled the luggage area, having detected a suspicious bag.

After the seizure, the authorities found inside the bag, among other items, cocaine with a total weight of 32,350 kilos, which corresponds to about 161,750 individual doses, with an estimated value of over 1.5 million Euros.

The case was referred to the public prosecutor.
