The event is designed to promote the protected area as well as raise awareness about its ecological needs.

The second edition of the event runs until Saturday and this year features the seahorse, which can be found in the Ria, as its symbol.

The Ria Formosa wetlands stretch from Cacela Velha, in Vila Real de Santo António, to Vale Garrão in Loulé.
