Two 1-1 draws - away at Penafiel and at home to lowly Oliveirense - keeps them in touch with the top teams in sixth place on thirty-three points.
Two points worse off are SC Olhanense who struggled to beat nine-man Sporting Covilhã 2-1 thanks to two Murilo goals; the second being a spectacular thunderbolt form thirty metres out. Four days later a 3-1 defeat at Freamunde leaves the Olhão based club in tenth position.
SC Farense notched up a 1-0 win against Atletico in Lisbon before returning to Faro to hold high flying Chaves to a 1-1 draw. Farense are mid-table on twenty-seven points.
On Sunday SC Olhanense play their last game of the year at home to Leixões. Kick-off 3pm at the José Arcanjo Stadium, Olhão (behind McDonalds on the EN125).
