The Algarve mountain town of Monchique has registered its first Covid-related death. A 79-year-old man, who had been in Intensive Care for a few weeks has become the first deadly victim of Covid-19 among residents in the municipality of Monchique. This death brings to 79 the number of people who have died in the Algarve region due to the pandemic, since March.
